Garden of Speedin' is an good example of a CD that searched a huge database to form an effective electronic directory. CDs of this nature may interact with the Web to update lists, prices, etc., in the background without the end users' awareness.
The CD contains a dozen or so car manufacturers, Chevy, Ford, etc., and the end user can use the CD to search through a national database of resources of antique car parts and replica parts for antique cars.
The CD allows the end user to purchase the access code for a single manufacturer, or the entire CD at a discount. The database can be easily updated as new entries justify a new edition. Of course, just as with most CDs, the CD links to particular website areas.
